MotherBearWare

The summer of 2003, a scrap was thrown my way, a small piece of fabric with woodland camouflage print.

For decades, and millions of yards, this cloth had mostly been used for men, and hunting.  There was the occasional hobby sewing, but no one had manufactured this before in tailored feminine designs.  The hunting clothing for women at that point was just smaller versions of menswear.

Expanded horizons, while preserving original culture it represented.  Woodland camouflage is like wearing the forest, at different times of year.  Mossy Oak is my favorite,  www.mossyoak.com
Don't settle for muddy generics.

MotherBearWare launched first  runway show of Mossy Oak for women, at Riviera Hotel, Las Vegas, during the National Field Archery Association Tournament.
MotherBearWare made from Mossy Oak had previously appeared in runway shows at Santana Row in San Jose, and the Allied Arts Guild benefit for Lucille Packard Children Hospital at Stanford.

Out clothing can be worn everywhere, any time of year, not just when you're sitting in a tree stand or traipsing through the woods.    Les chasseurs sont le vrai Les Fauve.

An early career as construction project manager, estimating,  drafting blueprints, were great preparation for pattern making, design,  putting it together.  We're building with textiles now, instead of steel and concrete.   There are  material sciences, whether we harvest  plants for lumber or  weave them into textiles.

This grew as a branch of my archery interests, but is no longer an adjunct off shoot.   The apparel industry is a thick maze of bureaucracy, brokers, agents, lawyers, traps and adventures,  searching for sources and delivering the goods.
 In other words, hunting.
